What do we believe?

We believe in one eternal God who has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Who created all things and sustains all things. Duet. 6:4, 2 Cor. 13:14, I John 5:7

We believe the Bible is God's word and the final source of authority for faith and godly living. II Tim. 3:16-17, II Peter 1:21

We believe that mankind was created in the image of God, as a free moral agent, who by choice fell into sin, which brought both physical and spiritual death. Since that time, all human beings are born with a sinful nature. Gen. 1:26, Ps. 51:5, Isa. 52:6, Rom. 3:23

We believe that those who, by faith, accept Christ as Savior and Lord, can experience eternal redemption because of Christ's death on the cross of Calvary and the power of His resurrection. John 3:16, I Cor. 15:16-22

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, and will lead, empower and comfort those who yield to Him. John 16:7-13

We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of those who repent of their sins and are baptized as a symbol of new life. The local church is to be a place for prayer, Christian nurture, and fellowship to strengthen our faith. The Church will test our understanding of God's word, give inspiration, and train us to carry out the Great Commission until Jesus returns in glory. Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 2:41-42, Eph. 2:19-22

We believe that it is the will of God for Christians to refrain from the use of force and violence in human relations, and to show love to all men. Matt. 5:39, 44; Rom. 12:14, 17-21; I Peter 3:9-17

We believe that a conscious eternal life (Heaven) awaits all the faithful in Christ Jesus and unbelievers will enter into eternal punishment (Hell). Matt. 25:34, 41, 46; John 5:28-29 Rev. 20:11-15
